Over the last few weeks I've been studying a lot about the family. The basis for my studies have been centered around The Family: A Proclamation to the World. I've read the document a few times now and I've learned a lot about myself and how I need to refocus some of my goals. It also teaches me about the desires my Heavenly Father has for me and everyone else. I would love to hear your thoughts on this document. Do you agree with it? What does it teach you?
The thing that stands out the most is gender. Men and women are different! They look different. They smell different. They think differently. They behave differently. They have different strengths and weaknesses. This plainly states that their roles are different as well. The world is trying to erase gender importance in many ways, but I know it's so important and vital to our Father's plan.
ReplyDeleteI love that you pointed that out since that is what we are discussing this week in class. Gender roles started in our pre-mortal existence and will continue into the eternities. It is important that we all take on our role and work together to have an eternal family. Thanks for sharing!
